Paediatrics

Paediatrics is the branch of medicine that deals with the care of infants and children and the treatment of their diseases. The health of a child includes physical as well as mental and social wellness. A paediatrician has undergone extensive specialised training in the treatment of children.

A few of the common problems treated at the IHCH are:

• Allergies including food allergies
• Skin problems like eczema and infections
• Ear nose and throat infections and problems
• Asthma
• Growth problems
• Problems in the first months and year of life
• Constipation
• Feeding issues
• Sleep problems
• Vaccination advice and schedules

If necessary referrals can be made for blood tests, radiological investigations, and if necessary, to paediatric sub-specialists. The various possibilities of treatment using complimentary and alternative medicine can be discussed and referrals made if necessary.

Our paediatrician, Stephen Buskin (see his CV below), is available on Wednesdays once in the month. Please call (0)70 30 65 111 to make an appointment. Refer to the Homepage ‘Seeing Our Specialists' for information on billing and insurance.
