Paediatrics
Paediatrics is the branch of medicine that deals with the care of infants and children and the treatment of their diseases. The health of a child includes physical as well as mental and social wellness. A paediatrician has undergone extensive specialised training in the treatment of children.
A few of the common problems treated at the IHCH are:
• Allergies
including food allergies
• Skin problems like eczema and infections
• Ear nose and throat infections and problems
• Asthma
• Growth problems
• Problems in the first
months and year of life
• Constipation
• Feeding issues
• Sleep problems
• Vaccination advice and schedules
If necessary referrals can be made for blood tests, radiological investigations, and if necessary, to paediatric sub-specialists. The various possibilities of treatment using complimentary and alternative medicine can be discussed and referrals made if necessary.
Our paediatrician, Stephen Buskin (see his CV below), is available weekly - usually on Thursday. Please call (0)70 30 65 111 to make an appointment. Refer to the Homepage ‘Seeing Our Specialists' for information on billing and insurance.
